Ueki at Blue Ribbon Sushi
A Hidden Omakase Experience in the Palisades
Tucked inside Blue Ribbon Sushi at Palisades Village, Ueki is an intimate 14-seat omakase experience rooted in Japanese tradition, exceptional ingredients, and the spirit of hospitality.
Concealed behind a hand-crafted shibori curtain, Ueki's cedar "jewel box" features a 10-seat hinoki sushi bar and two intimate booths. Warm lighting, deep wood tones, rich red tile, and plush seating create a setting that feels both serene and vibrant—an intimate retreat just steps from the Blue Ribbon Sushi terrace.
The Omakase
At the heart of Ueki is Sushi Chef Lee San, whose disciplined technique, refined palate, and deep respect for Japanese culinary tradition shape every experience.
Working with pristine fish, shellfish, and seasonal delicacies, Chef Lee brings together classic Japanese techniques with influences from his Korean heritage and travels around the world. Each tasting menu is a personal expression of his approach to sushi: precise, thoughtful, and deeply focused on balance, texture, and flavor.
The hinoki sushi bar serves as the centerpiece, while a traditional robata grill adds another dimension to the experience, showcasing Japanese Wagyu and seasonal specialties prepared with the same precision and care.

Ueki offers two multi-course tasting menus, designed to evolve with the seasons and the finest ingredients available. A curated beverage program features bespoke cocktails, an extensive selection of sake and fine wines, and a dedicated whiskey armoire.
